Back in Paris after an orgy of art in Venice, satiation kept me away from museums, until today’s walk by the Dausmenil lake, when I caught a glimpse of Meschac Gaba’s ‘wigs’. Colorful and evocative, they represent characters famous in Benin. They were used in Paris for a performance a few years ago, and it was nice to see them again staged in such a beautiful building.
