Paris School of Arts and Culture is an immersion study abroad program for visual arts students who want to explore French arts and culture and to find new inspiration for their own work in Paris, or who want to take the time to think about a career in arts.

The program provides intensive French classes, art classes and opportunities to explore the culture, meet artists and make art. All our classes are open to undergraduate students eager to engage in a challenging program.  Except for language instruction, alll classes are in English, and bring together students from various nationalities.

Our program maintains high academic standards, but we believe that creating conditions for the students to make their own experience of French culture is just as important as what happens in the classroom.

Daily classes at La Sorbonne provide intensive language training as well as an experience of the French academic system. PSAC’s seminars and personal projects enable the students to explore French art in a unique way where art history, museum studies, studio art and intercultural studies enrich each other.

With ten years’ experience organizing study abroad programs in film, photography and visual arts, we have developed a challenging curriculum where classroom instruction by academics, urban explorations, excursions, and meetings with professionals combine for a fuller educational experience inside and outside the classroom.

The program is accesible to all motivated students, regardless of their major. But PSAC is not a party program. It encourages self-reflection, growth, independence, creativity. It iis small enough so that your immersion in the culture will be complete and unforgettable.

Mission Statement:

We aim to accompany students as they discover an overwhelmingly artistic city and help them integrate this experience in their own creative development. We wish to create connections with French artists and help students consider possibilities for an international career.

We place creativity at the centre of our curriculum, and strive to develop it in our students.

We think that creativity takes courage, that it takes knowledge and hard work, but that it can also be fun, demanding but rewarding.

We think that studying abroad is one of the best ways to prepare for your future in the art world. Paris School of Arts And Culture’s programs expose students to today’s creation, and aim to initiate collaborations with French artists, so that your stay in Paris will not only be a time to learn about French art history and culture, but also to build skills and connections for your future as an artist or an art professional.

We also believe that experiencing another culture can significantly impact your intellectual, personal and professional growth.

We believe that the success of a study abroad comes from the personal project that you will bring or develop in Paris, and we will help you bring it to fruition.

Our staff, our faculty and our contacts in the art world all believe that art has an important role to play in society, and it is our collective mission to form creative individuals who will work across borders.

I can honestly say this has been the best semester of my life – Andrew Perez, Villanova University.
