Neal Rock’s painted sculptures are hybrids of genres, materials, and cultures. With a Greek title that alludes to the masks worn in Ancient tragedy but shapes that remind of seashells and kitchen towels, with motives from wallpapers painted into the silicone through a complex process, the works are enigmatic but pleasantly perfect.
