In the adjacent room, Cy Twombly’s ceiling, the most recent, set in 2010 in a Renaissance room over Greek bronzes 25 centuries old, inscribed with the names of Ancient Greek sculptors, speaks of the eternity of art.
Made of eleven strips of canvas, it took months to paint, and a few more weeks to set it up and cover up the connecting lines.
